We recently found a security vulnerability in a well-known PDF viewer application, called Pdf Factory. The application lies in Office Tools, more specifically Document Management. Moreover, the application is referred to as "fine Print", "PDFTactory", "pdf Factory", and "pdfscrub". The most recent versions of this software are 7.2 and 7.3. The security issue was found by Vulnerability Assessment Service, and the following fixes have been applied:
Add/Remove Programs: in Window's Control Panel, go to "Programs" and click on "Install/Uninstall". Locate the Pdf Factory Pro 6 free download, and click on the "Add/Remove" tab. In the "Remove programs" window, double-click on the Pdf Factory Pro 6 program. In the "Uninstall" window, click on the "Uninstall" tab. Finally, in the General section of the Windows System settings utility, click on "Remove" button.
Update Your Antivirus Suite: run a full-virus scan of your system to find any security holes (there might be several), update your anti-spyware software, and update your Microsoft Office software (which MS Excel and Word are required to read some pdf files). In case there is a security vulnerability in your MS Word application, download and install only the free software mentioned above (it will fix the security issue). Then update your Adobe Reader software. Finally, download and install the latest version of Windows Security Guard (also referred to as Windows defender). Open the security tool, perform a scan, and identify the infected file(s) - once identified, follow the below-mentioned procedures to successfully remove the Pdf Factory Pro virus:
